The 1990s - the decade in which Nike became so prevalent in not only athletic wear, but in street fashion too. Hip hop culture saw oversized boxy puffers with bold logos, like this, occupy everybody’s wardrobe; the Nike puffer jacket was, and still is, a must-have. 90’s Nike pieces are highly collectable for their recognisability, high quality material and range of designs. This specific design was released in the mid-late 1990s, as indicative of its black tag with a red swoosh. The piece features a classic boxy silhouette, bungee toggling at the waist, a large embroidered spell-out to the back and understated, yet iconic, small swoosh to the chest.
